The Kaohsiung Branch of APHIA is in charge of inspection and quarantine for imported and exported plants, animals and their products transported by sea, air, passengers, international postal parcels, our responsibilities also include supervision of meat inspection and support of local agricultural authorities in animal monitoring and control programs. The jurisdiction includes Tainan City, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County, Taitung County and Kinmen County. There are Tainan Inspection Station, Kaohsiung Harbor Inspection Station, Kaohsiung Airport Inspection Station, Kinmen Inspection Station and Pingtung Inspection Station under Kaohsiung Branch.
