  • Cooperate with foreign quarantine officer for quarantine treatment in Taiwan.
  • Inspection and quarantine of plant parcels for export and import.
  • Post-entry quarantine of import plants.
  • Audit and manage the fumigation and heat treatment facilities for wood packaging material.
  • Inspection and quarantine of Phalaenopsis in growing medium for export to countries.
  • Develop quarantine treatments on fruits for export.
  • Implement hypobaric fumigation treatment on crops for export.
  • Carry out other services related to plant inspection.

◎ Accomplishment

This area, situated in west-central Taiwan, has a suitable climate for agricultural growth, so the export trade of flower and seedling production is great. Seedlings account for 65%, of our duties and are the major quarantine category. Others include wood, wooden articles, cereals, seeds, fruits and vegetables that account for 35%.
