本分局與長庚大學張助理教授中明共同研發以即時定量聚合酶連鎖反應檢測西方花薊馬之技術“Taqman real-time quantitative PCR for identification of western flower thrip (Frankliniella occidentalis) for plant quarantine”，獲Biology Letters（impact factor 3）期刊接受刊登，並於2010年2月3日登載於其線上版（http://rsbl.royalsocietypublishing.org/content/early/2010/02/02/rsbl.2009.1060.short?rss=1），本分局同時感謝葉前副局長瑩及沈前分局長國三指導。
