The planning division is responsible for the overall planning of policies and programs for animal and plant disease and pest control and quarantine. It plays a crucial role in the development of measures and projects for animal and plant disease, pest control and quarantine and the promotion of their implementation. Another responsibility is the exchanging of information related to animal and plant diseases, pest control and quarantine and the management of affairs between Taiwan and mainland China. Lastly, the planning division plays a pivotal role in the promotion and coordination of the international cooperation in information exchanges and technology development relating to animal and plant disease, pest control and quarantine.
